Our competition robots are the culmination of team dedication and engineering innovation — built for high performance on the FIRST Robotics stage, with advanced drive systems, custom mechanisms, and precision control software.
Every subsystem on this robot — drivetrain, superstructure, electronics — was modeled, fabricated, and wired by students. This is the team's actual CAD model.

A ground intake collects game pieces and transfers them in fast. It runs a single 2-inch silicone-covered VersaRoller tube, belt-and-pulley driven off Falcon 500 motors. To handle varying field conditions, the entire intake assembly pivots vertically on a chain-and-sprocket drive powered by a Kraken X60, moving pieces from the floor directly into the hopper.
Once inside, pieces enter a downward-angled hopper built for throughput — nine 1-inch silicone-covered VersaRoller tubes on a belt-and-pulley drive off a Kraken X60, feeding the shooter continuously. An extendible MaxComp section articulates alongside the pivoting intake, expanding storage volume so the shooter keeps a steady supply.

Positioned directly above the hopper, the shooter launches game pieces into the Hub using three dedicated motors. A rear-mounted motor drives 2-inch compliant wheels through a belt-and-pulley system, staging pieces out of the hopper and into firing position. Two more motors, mounted on opposite sides of the robot, spin a separate set of 4-inch wheels through dual belt-and-pulley drives to supply the velocity needed to score.
A fourth motor runs the climber, engineered specifically for a Traversal Rung hang. It drives through a chain-and-sprocket system backed by multiple REV UltraPlanetary gearboxes — that high reduction is what lets the robot lift its full weight reliably during the endgame.

Four SDS MK5n swerve modules, one at each corner, each independently driven and steered by Kraken X60 motors for full holonomic control — strafe, rotate, and drive all at the same time, no matter which way the chassis is facing.
